I have been in and around IT as a paid professional for almost 30 years. This has included:
- being a field/helpdesk technician for many Windows laptops, desktops, and server builds
- being a programmer, my first full time programming language, COBOL, and I'm currently learning R as time permits and need to learn very soon Vue.js and PHP
- performing field maintenance on a SoDAR unit in a field (it was actually a cow pasture just south of Ark City)
- admin'ing an aged gaming turn-key system
- Health IT! and all the HIPAA that goes with it
- having to figure out at least one DB2 database, more than one FoxPro databases, and at least one Paradox database back in the day
- speaking of databases - becoming fairly swift at writing complex queries and stored procedures in Oracle's PL/SQL and in MS T-SQL in SSRS, and also picking up PostgreSQL and SQLite on the same job
- working on, and, planning and managing and/or performing software development and implementations

Is a project site and a project in itself. I chose to install a Drupal webpage using GreenGeeks.com as a host.
Why a .info, instead of a .net or a .com? Availability and cost - scottwilliamson.net is taken, and scottwilliamson.com is $5K USD plus hosting fee. My reserving scottwilliamson.info with a year of hosting was $45.35.
Why a Drupal site? Currently I'm building a greater appreciation of what the website admin goes through at work because I'm learning how to build and maintain a Drupal 10 site with Composer on a remote platform.
Particulars:
- Host: GreekGeeks Webhosting (greengeeks.com) Why? It's inexpensive and eco-friendly
- CMS: Drupal 10.2 (as of 06 Feb)
- Theme: ABC (https://www.drupal.org/project/abc) using most of the defaults (for now)
