What is a PMP?
A PMP certificate is an industry standard certification in Project Management. Because of the bar you have to get over to get one, people with PMP certs should know their stuff.
There's a higher education requirement, an education requirement, and a 230 minute (that's 10 minutes shy of 4 hours) 180 question test... that's around $500 ($425 with a $159 / year membership, or a straight $675 full price). There's two levels: a CAPM for a Certified Associate PM, or a regular PMP which has an additional experience requirement. All the details are at pmi.org
Got all that? Basically, One does not simply walk into a PMP...

Step 1 - Read a lot of Reddit
Yes there is a r/pmp community on Reddit containing people's stories on how they went about attempting and mostly succeeding passing their PMP
Step 2 - Udemy
I have a Udemy course purchased, but haven't had the 37 hours it would take to get through it. So this one's pending.
Step X - Pass the exam
